泰德 PiechocinskiTheodore Piechocinski, Professor and Director of ISU's 音乐 Business Program holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, 一个M.M. in saxophone performance from New Mexico State University, and a B.S. in music education from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Prior to joining ISU's faculty, he had extensive experience in the music industry as a music/copyright attorney and as a music publishing senior executive at Cherry Lane 音乐 Co. in New York City, Ludwig 音乐 Publishing in Cleveland, OH, FJH 音乐 Co. 在英国《bc菠菜导航》. Lauderdale, FL, and 音乐Expresso, an innovative online music publishing venture.

At Cherry Lane 音乐, Prof. Piechocinski negotiated and drafted print publishing deals to represent such diverse artists as Metallica, Van Halen, Dave Matthews Band, 乔Satriani, 邦尼·, Barbra Streisand, and "Weird" Al Yankovic, among many others. He also negotiated numerous international licenses for foreign editions of educational materials. While working in New York City, he also served on the Board of Directors for the 音乐 Publisher's Association of the United States.  Throughout his career, he has spoken at numerous national and international conferences, 约定, and symposia of students, 教育工作者, music retailers, and music publishers on a variety of music industry-related topics.

The 音乐 IndustryIn the summer of 2006, Professor Piechocinski was a visiting professor at the Shenyang Conservatory of 音乐 - South Campus, 在沈阳, China where he taught an introductory music business course to Chinese students.  He has written many published articles on copyright and other industry-related topics and serves as an active advisor and consultant to artists, 机构, and publishing companies across the country. Professor Piechocinski is the author of The 音乐 Industry, Where Creativity Meets Business, a comprehensive text book about the music industry published in October 2020 by Northeastern 音乐 Publications.
